I am happy to hear that people of our own generation are thinking about the future. Adding or changing programs at colleges is a good idea to prepare students for careers and jobs that are going to be needed in the near future. Without these preparations, no new "fresh blood" would be added to to help solve problems with global warming.

I think it's really good that London is taking these actions to produce less carbon emissions, especially since it seems like London produces a lot of pollution and harmful greenhouse gases. I also think that it's smart for them to reward people for cutting back on their energy use, because this way they can be sure that people will actually try to help the situation. I think other cities should follow in London's plans as well in order to prevent the harmful effects of climate change.

I am happy to see that some companies are responding to global warming. Maybe that will show other big-time corporations that they too can step up to the plate and fight against global warming. These companies can help to save the environment and they are finally realizing it.

Good evidence that what we do really affects the next generation. When will humanity learn that we need to take responsibility for our actions? What we do is so far-reaching that we have to try and do something so we won't ruin the future for our children.

No need to amend your blog. There are many different opinions out there and everyone says that their evidence is correct. You don't need to research every single scientific repot on a certain topic in order to post on it.

The second guy who commented, who was he refering to? I'm a little confused over if he's talking to you or the first guy.

This article is under researched and draws wrong conclusions.
The European Union's Food Standards Agency has investigated this issue for five years and had recently completely cleared the chemical concerned.

The EFSA has even allowed an increased use of this chemical. The announcement is here. http://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/press_room/press_release/pr_bpa.html

I think Al Gore is a very deserving candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. His movie is very effective, not just providing information on global warming, but giving the viewer a variety of ways in which he or she can do something about the problem. It is obvious that the movie was made more to cause change than to make money. According to imdb.com, 50,000 copies of the movie were given away to schools, and also that through the purchase of "energy credits", the movie was completely carbon neutral. This shows that Al Gore is completely sincere in his concern about global warming and is therefore a very worthy candidate for this year's Nobel Peace Prize.

I think it's promising to see that new fuel methods are being developed. There's all this talk about how we need to find new resources for fuel, and this animal fat idea seems to be reasonable. If this source of fuel grows however, we could grow dependant on crops, the same reason why ethanol isn't a primary source of fuel, because the chickens depend on the crops for food. Did you read anything about whether this type of fuel will be more, less, or the same price than the price we are currently paying for gas?

This is a super post Ryan. It is sad to see that the poplutaion of an endangered species such as the condor is being further diminished due to lead pellets. Even if hunters are only hunting legal prey, they must understand the impact they have on other species. In this case, the lead pellets not only kill the prey, but the condor and that it unacceptable. Something must be done.

Great post Ryan. What many humans don't realize is the power we have over other animals and environments without even really trying to affect them. In this case, humans harming animals is further harming other animals down the food chain. This makes hunting doubly harmful. Personally, I don't believe hunting to be right in the first place, and now that it's harming more than just the hunted animals, an endangered species, it shows the full damaging power that hunting can and does do. Because of the dwindling numbers of condors, I believe that the lead pellets should be outlawed as soon as possible before the damage done to the condor population becomes irreparable. Keep up the great blogging.
